Week 3 – Anna

So this week there was a lot more discussion about how we’re going to tackle the subject of our choosing (Melbourne bands vs. Buskers). We also discussed the proposal and how we’re going to do that. The idea is one of us starts a draft and we collaborate from there.

In terms of the documentary. I had an opportunity to film the band Trash Palace at one of their live gigs at The Tote in Collingwood last Thursday night. I got some behind the scenes footage of them setting up and sound checking as well as the performance itself. I was then able to record the band and their sit down with their new manager (Sebastian Jansen) on the Saturday as they discussed what their direction is, how they want to go about it etc. There was a lot of content I was able to get that will help the message behind the documentary – What are the processes?

Meanwhile, we decided Rosemary would get a start on the webpage itself. She’s a leader in that aspect of this project, so with our help, she’s will continue to decide on how the page will be laid out & the design etc. Therefore I’m starting to put footage together, as well as pictures to help her with that.

Harry was given the task to scout some buskers, so far we have one solid bite, David Lambie – a young man who busks with an acoustic bass. Harry will continue to find others as well to add to the content of the documentary.

Today is the draft of the proposal – we need to make some final decisions on what media we’re going use and what direction to go in. So far, so good.
